Here is a draft cover of my upcoming novel, THE LIFE OF CUB. The novel explores human existence five centuries after Adam’s journey in The Five Lives of Eve. It is the second release in the Resurrection Collection and an intriguing entry into this world for new readers, as I wrote it with a view that it could be read first or after reading The Five Lives of Eve.
Overview...
500 years after its resurrection, humanity has entered the Iron Age…
It has been 513 years since the first walkers established the region of Cullum. More significantly for Cub, it’s her fifteenth birthday.
Living in her parents’ cozy roundhouse, she has plans for a wonderful life, but her world fractures when she has a vision of a strange city with towering, glistening domes reaching to the sky.
Told by her father to visit her Auntie, she is shown artifacts which suggest she is a descendant of Adam the Gardener, a famous first walker. Her Auntie also believes that Adam lived for a time with the Skygods—the ones who created all creatures.
Soon after, Cub’s idyllic village of Lion Tree feels the shadow of a Southern army, whose arrival heralds a brutal new reality.
As Cub fights to survive in this new world, her bizarre visions persist and grow darker, deepening her suspicions that she is not just connected to Adam, but to a Skygod called Saark. And more ominously, that Saark and her Skygods are watching with discontent.
In her darkest hour, Cub meets Saark, who proposes an agonizing choice on which rests the fate of humanity. Cub’s decision, her connection to Saark, and the events of her troubled life are destined to reverberate throughout the centuries.
